Art At Your Fingertips (AAYFT) is a district wide volunteer program that offers parents a fun and memorable way to be directly involved in the classroom at their child’s elementary school. There are five art lessons for the school year and the parent volunteers are called docents. The lessons are scheduled at the Palos Verdes Art Center and the docents attend the scheduled training for the specific lesson then coordinate with the teacher to teach that specific lesson in the classroom. Supplies are provided.

Each classroom will have up to three docents as the point person. Because of the popularity of the program, we have also added two alternates and the docents can coordinate with all to teach a lesson or support a lesson as an extra hand. Rancho Vista allows up to three volunteers per lesson.

AAYFT is a favorite memory for both students and parents alike. This has been a tradition for several generations in Palos Verdes and still going strong!
Parents can volunteer to be part of the AAYF program through the Rancho Vista PTA.
